Alison Henderson

Forager, Teacher and Wild Pop Up Chef

I come from a cooking and teaching background, having trained and worked at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland and most recently, I managed Colstoun Cookery School here in Scotland.

2019 is a time for new Adventures. The sap is rising and it’s a time for new beginnings and fresh growth.

Now freelance, I run private and public Foraging and Cookery Workshops and host Wild Pop Ups, largely in East Lothian. Wild Food and Cooking are my passion. My focus is on sustainable harvesting and the connection with nature that brings, using foraged finds in the here and now and how to preserve them for use throughout the year, as much as possible in the great outdoors!
